At Over-Amstel Boerderij, our land pigs live as they were meant to – with plenty of space, fresh air and the freedom to root, roll in the mud and doze in the sun. It is a delight to watch their curious snouts disappear into the soil in search of tasty morsels.

Our pigs descend from old European breeds that were once common on mixed farms. Their diet consists largely of surplus from our kitchen garden, cheesemaking, restaurant and leftover bread from the farm shop. This makes them a perfect fit within our circular farm-to-fork philosophy. No waste, no extra pressure on farmland, just food that supports a more sustainable world.

When the time comes, the animals are taken calmly to a small-scale abattoir. The meat is carefully prepared into beautiful products for our restaurant and shop. Each piece reflects respect for the animal and for craftsmanship. With every bite, you taste not only the quality, but also the story of our polder.

Over-Amstel Boerderij is een plek waar je kunt ontspannen en genieten van al het goede uit de omgeving. Ideaal te combineren met een wandeling, fietstocht of als je gaat varen.
