THINGS TO DO
Themed Dinners at Over-Amstel Boerderij
CELEBRATE SEASONS
Come taste the polder
We welcome you to our special dinners which are themed to suit the season. Of course, we prepare the dishes with as many products as possible from our farm or local produce. We want to put the Duivendrecht polder in the spotlights. Would you like to join our dinners? Then book your seat today.
Wine pairing
For our themed dinners, we offer guests the option to book a selection of wines that complement the courses, either alcoholic or non-alcoholic. We do not serve alcohol to underage patrons.
Good to know
Having dinner at Over-Amstel Boerderij is an experience in itself. You and your group will travel to the farm by boat. The evening starts at 6:00 PM, when the boat departs from Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. Upon arrival (approx. 20 minutes later), there will be a warm welcome with a drink. If you are arriving independently by bike or on foot, please plan to be there by 6:45 PM.
During our dinners, we tell you more about what we do on the farm and what we want to achieve here. The evening ends around 9:30 PM. The boat will bring you back to Ouderkerk, where you will arrive around 10:00 PM.
Agenda
Fully booked | Friday 12 December | Water, Wine and Stories from Amstelland | €100.00
Over-Amstel and Museum Amstelland share a love for history. The museum tells the story of the peat region: sunken oaks, soldiers, flooded land, it all happened here. With the theme of water as defence they conclude their renovation. We support them with a benefit evening featuring a three course menu including wine, stories by Ad van Fessem and an auction. An evening not to be forgotten.
Fully booked | Wednesday 17 December | Christmas at the Boerderij | €115.00
During an evening filled with light and warmth you will enjoy a Christmas menu where tradition and innovation come together. Our chefs serve festive courses featuring ingredients from the polder, complemented by surprising winter combinations. Surrounded by old beams and twinkling lights you will feel the warmth of being together. Christmas here is an intimate journey through flavour and story.
Friday 9 January | The Wadden in Winter | €95.00
An evening that captures the quiet and purity of the Wadden in winter. With mussels, cockles and salty vegetables we create a dinner that tastes of coast and salt marsh. We follow the rhythm of the tides and bring the northern shoreline to Over-Amstel. This menu is not suitable for vegetarians.
Friday 16 January | Old Loves | €95.00
An ode to the dishes that shaped our chef: rich broths, slow cooked meats and flavours full of memories. Chef Herb prepares favourites from his youth, such as zooitje and pot au feu. Comfort food just as his mother made it: honest, warm and prepared with great care. This menu is not suitable for vegetarians.
Friday 23 January | Fattoria Over-Amstel | €95.00
For one evening the boerderij transforms into an Italian fattoria. Using our own vegetables and local products we prepare multiple courses inspired by Venetian dishes. It is an ode to the birthplace of our sous chef Luca. With Mediterranean flavours, fresh farm ingredients and wines from our sister estate Vignamaggio we bring the atmosphere of an Italian farm to life on the Amstel.
Friday 30 January | Everything from the Boerderij | €95.00
A dinner created from what the boerderij provides: vegetables, herbs, cheese made by Dewi, bread baked by Oliver and meat from trusted farmers. Chef Herb prepares a menu in which the polder takes centre stage. Pure, close to home, seasonal and made with care: the very best from our own grounds.
Saturday 31 January | Paris on the Amstel | €95.00
Chef Herb has a great love for Paris. He is fond of the classic dishes served in bistros and bouillons. Simple, flavourful and without fuss. An ode to French cuisine. A dinner that evokes the feeling of Paris. Paris on the Amstel.

Friday 20 February | The Winter Kitchen Garden | €95.00
In the middle of the white, wide polder landscape the fireplace glows in the restaurant. Even on the coldest days our kitchen garden still has plenty to offer.
