You are always welcome to drop in for breakfast, coffee, lunch or something sweet in between. We do recommend making reservations to be sure of a spot, especially during busy times.

May I smoke on the premises?
Over-Amstel Boerderij is a smoke-free venue. This is how we keep the air clean, protect the nature around us and ensure a pleasant experience for all our guests. Thank you for your understanding.

May I look around the yard if I don't want to eat anything?
Yes, you are always welcome during our opening hours. Feel free to drop by to stroll through the garden, discover the herb beds or say hello to the animals in our yard. Of course, you can also drop into the shop for a piece of cheese from our own cheese dairy or other local products. So you can experience the atmosphere of Over-Amstel Boerderij at your leisure, even without eating in the restaurant.

What kind of animals do you have on the farm?
In our yard, chickens, cows, sheep and pigs roam around. They are part of the rhythm of the farm and contribute to a lively, natural atmosphere. During a walk around the grounds, you can watch them quietly and take a moment to reflect on life on the polder.

May I visit the garden?
Yes. Our garden is freely accessible during opening hours. Stroll along the herb beds, discover edible flowers or enjoy the view over the polder. Every season offers something new to discover.

Can I park at Over-Amstel Boerderij?
To preserve the tranquillity of the polder, there is no parking on site or in the immediate vicinity. Limited spaces are available for disabled visitors. Please contact us in advance to reserve it - we will be happy to help.

Where can I park?
Park at Amstel Parking on the Amstelzijde in Amstelveen (1184 TZ). From there you can:
-walk (30 minutes along a beautiful route through the polder),
-use our free boat service,
-or reserve an Over-Amstel rental bike.

How does the boat service work?
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, our recognisable blue boat sails every full hour from the quay between Amstelzijde 59 and 47 to Over-Amstel Boerderij. The first boat leaves at 9am. The return trip departs from the farm every half hour, until 4.30pm. You sail along for free and enjoy the view over the Amstel on the way.

How do I use the Over-Amstel rental bike?
Are you booking a table in our restaurant? Then you can indicate that you would like to use a rental bike. After your reservation, you will receive instructions by e-mail and an app to open the lock. The bikes are parked at Amstel Parking, to the left of the barrier. It takes about 10 minutes to cycle over the dike to our farm - a beautiful ride with views of the Amstel river.

Can I also get there on foot?
Sure. From Amstel Parking you can walk to us in about 30 minutes, along a quiet dike and through the polder landscape. Every season has its own charm - from blossom in spring to the splashes of colour in autumn.

Is Over-Amstel Boerderij accessible by private transport?
Yes, you get there easily on foot or by bike via the dike from Amsterdam or Ouderkerk. Do you have a special request about your trip to us? Let us know - we are happy to think with you.

Are dogs welcome?
Yes, if on a leash.

What kind of restaurant is Over-Amstel Boerderij?
In our restaurant you can taste the seasons of the Duivendrecht polder. Our chef Herb cooks with harvests from his own land, herbs from the garden and ingredients from local farmers. Expect a farm-to-fork experience full of flavour, with attention and craft.

Of course. Please communicate your wishes or allergies when making your reservation, and we will provide a suitable alternative with equal attention and taste.

Are children welcome in the restaurant?
Yes, children are very welcome. We do not have a standard children's menu, but are happy to create a suitable and delicious dish for our young guests.

Can I come for lunch or dinner with a group?
For groups of 20 people or more, we serve a tailor-made seasonal menu. Feel free to send us a message - we would love to think along with you about a tasty afternoon or evening. Group dinners are on request and subject to availability.

Do you also organise evening dinners?
Yes. We regularly organise themed evening dinners inspired by the season or a special ingredient. Think “Wild in the Polder” or a summer harvest table. You can find current themes and dates on our website.

Do you have a terrace?
No, we do not have a terrace with service. You eat inside our restaurant with a view of the garden and the polder. After your meal, you can walk around outside, discover the herb beds and enjoy the tranquillity of our garden.

Can I organise a group dinner at Over-Amstel Boerderij?
Yes. Our farmhouse is a special place for a dinner with friends, family or colleagues.

What is the minimum number of people?
We welcome groups from 25 people upwards. Do you have other requirements? Feel free to contact us - we are happy to think along with you.

Is there a set menu for groups?
For groups, we work with a seasonal menu that our chef specially compiles. This way, we guarantee quality and a story that fits the moment. Of course, we adapt the menu to your wishes in consultation.

What are the costs for a group dinner?
The price depends on the menu and your wishes, such as a wine arrangement. As a guideline: a four-course menu is starting from €99 per person, excluding drinks. Contact us for a tailor-made proposal.

What is your availability for group dinners?
Group dinners are possible on request. Send us your desired date and we will look at the possibilities together. We do not organise group dinners on Mondays and Tuesdays.

What workshops do you offer?
We regularly organise inspiring workshops, such as cheese making with our cheesemaker Dewi or walk in our garden. Discover a craft and learn from our team - always using fresh ingredients from the polder.

Do I need to register for a workshop?
Yes. Our workshops are small-scale and often fill up quickly. Simply sign up via our website or by email.

What ages are the workshops suitable for?
Most workshops are suitable for adults and young people from the age of 12. If in doubt, you can always contact us.

Over-Amstel Boerderij is not an event venue for large-scale gatherings. We focus on tranquillity, nature and inspiration. Small, private business sessions are possible in consultation - for example, a strategy session or heath day with a compact team. Share your idea with us and we will think about the possibilities.
